Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro born in 5 February 1985 he is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for and captains both Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr and the Portugal national team. 

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time, He comes from a humble background, and his family faced financial challenges during his childhood.

Ronaldo showed exceptional talent from a young age and joined the youth academy of Sporting Lisbon in Portugal. 

His performances attracted attention, and he made his professional debut for Sporting Lisbon in 2002.

Ronaldo gained international recognition when he signed with Manchester United in 2003 under manager Sir Alex Ferguson. 

He quickly became a key player for the team, helping them win three consecutive English Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2008.

In 2009, Ronaldo transferred to Real Madrid for a then-world record transfer fee. 

He had an incredibly successful tenure with the club, winning four Champions League titles, becoming Real Madrid's all-time leading scorer, and earning numerous individual awards.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus in 2018. During his time in Italy, he continued to showcase his goal-scoring prowess and helped Juventus win Serie A titles.

Cristiano Ronaldo made a highly anticipated return to Manchester United in 2021, signing a contract with the club.

In November 2022 his contract was terminated by “mutual agreement.” The following month Ronaldo signed with the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr where he still plays.

Ronaldo has been a crucial player for the Portuguese national team. He has represented Portugal in multiple UEFA European Championships and FIFA World Cups. He played a key role in Portugal winning the UEFA Euro 2016.

Over the course of his career, Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has received five Ballon d'Or/FIFA Ballon d'Or awards, the most for a European player.

Ronaldo holds the record for most goals and assists in the UEFA Champions League (140 and 42 respectively), and the record for most goals in the UEFA European Championship (14), its qualification stage (40), and the FIFA Club World Cup (7), as well as most goals scored in a UEFA Champions League season (17 in 2013–14), most international goals (128), and most appearances in a national team (204). He has scored a record 873 senior career goals for club and country. 

Moreover, he is one of the few recorded players to have made over 1,200 professional career appearances.

Collectively, Ronaldo has won 34 senior trophies in his career.
